Deze maand hebben we twee activiteiten georganiseerd:

ALV & Borrel:
Dinsdag 7 April, van 15:15 tot 17:00 vindt de halfjaarlijkse ALV plaats in Café de Keyzer.
Tijdens de ALV presenteren we jullie de vernieuwde statuten, het nieuwe HR en geven we een financieel overzicht.
Na afloop sluiten we gezellig af met een borrel. Het eerste drankje krijg je van ons!

Trivia-Avond:
Denk je dat je alles weet over… nou ja, echt alles?
Van het aantal kangoeroes in Australië tot pinguïns op Antarctica.
Doe samen met je vrienden mee aan een fantastische quizavond met IncLUsion.
Mis het niet!

Lieve leden,

Grijp deze bijzondere kans om in gesprek te gaan met Susanna Terstal. Op dit moment is zij NAVO-ambassadeur in Bagdad, en eerder werkte ze onder andere als Nederlands ambassadeur in Iran en als EU-vertegenwoordiger voor het Midden-Oosten vredesproces. Ze heeft dus enorm veel ervaring in een regio die politiek gezien altijd in beweging is.

Tijdens dit ronde tafel gesprek zal ze vertellen over haar werk, haar ervaringen in het Midden-Oosten en hoe het is om te opereren in zo’n complexe internationale context.

Kortom: een unieke kans om van dichtbij in gesprek te gaan met iemand die zich midden in de internationale diplomatie bevindt.

Dear Members,
Take this unique opportunity to join a roundtable discussion with Susanna Terstal. She is currently serving as NATO Ambassador in Baghdad, and has previously worked as the Dutch Ambassador to Iran and as the EU Representative for the Middle East Peace Process. This means she brings a lot of first-hand experience from a region that is constantly evolving politically.

During this roundtable, she will share insights about her work, her experiences in the Middle East, and what it is like to operate in such a complex international environment.

In short: a great chance to have an open conversation with someone who is right at the heart of international diplomacy.

Are you enthusiastic about Sheherazade? Are you ready for a new challenge? Do you want to gain board experience in an accessible way? Are you eager to contribute to a year full of wonderful activities and an amazing trip? Then sign up quickly for Sheherazade’s 43rd board!

Being on the board is a exciting and enriching experience. As a board member, you get the chance to determine Sheherazade’s direction and be at the heart of our study association. You get to know the members better, gain insight into how the university works, maintain good contacts with the study program, and meet interesting people outside the university who have experience with the region. The greatest reward for your work is the shared enthusiasm of the members for activities and, last but certainly not least, the wonderful trip in January!

Last year, the board consisted of three positions:

Chairperson:
As chairperson, you lead the board and the association and are responsible for external contacts.

Secretary:
As secretary, you are responsible for promoting activities and sending out the monthly email, and you take minutes during meetings.

Treasurer:
As treasurer, you are responsible for the finances.
There is room for a fourth position: Internal/External Assessor, who manages the committees and helps maintain external contacts.

Are you excited? Then apply now! Do you still have some questions or doubts, or do you just feel like coming to chat with us? Then come by on March 16 or 24 for a Board Chat in our room at Hertha Mohr 1.75. Tea will be waiting for you!
