Welcome to the website of the Leiden Study Association Sheherazade, the one and only study association for all bachelor’s and master’s students in Middle Eastern Studies at Leiden University since 1984. We’re here to add an extra dimension to your time as a MES student. We achieve this through informal and fun activities such as lunches, movie nights, and cooking workshops, as well as academic activities like lectures and informative trips. In short, plenty to do! Of course, we don’t do this all on our own. Our committees help the board keep everything running smoothly.
